Press Release: New MFG After Merger Completed

Midwestern Financial, LLC d.b.a. Midwestern Financial Group (MFG)

Midwestern Financial, LLC d.b.a. Midwestern Financial Group (MFG)

Iowa City, Iowa – This fall Midwestern Financial Group and Campbell Financial Group completed a merger to form newly established MFG. MFG is a Registered Investment Advisor with the State of Iowa.  The two managing partners are Joseph Jay, CFA and Patrick Campbell. MFG provides comprehensive financial planning and wealth management.  Unique from other firms, is that MFG is a fee-only RIA – meaning, no products are sold to clients.  Additionally, MFG is independent from any insurance company or bank – translating to objective advice uniquely tailored to clients’ current and future financial needs. The new office will be located in Iowa City – 332 S. Linn St. Ste. 25 ZIP 52240.

MFG combines the practices of existing and future clients in mind. The merger adds depth to the companies’ bench and thus value for clients and provides for continuity beyond a single advisor. What this means is establishing a succession plan within shared values.

a.     Client first in all ways.

b.     Fee-only; no commissions

c.     Fiduciary responsibility.

d.     tailored advice and portfolios based upon clients current and evolving financial needs

e.     Using modern financial products to keep the costs low for our clients while managing global allocations.

Patrick and Joseph have complimentary skill sets. While both very comfortable and knowledgeable of broad planning strategies, Patrick has developed a particular skillset with a focus in tax minimization strategies and estate planning within the context of wealth management and Joseph with investment expertise, evident by his CFA charterholder.

“Joining with Pat was a no brainer for me. After vetting his values and expertise, it was obvious combining our businesses would increase client services, which are always a focus for each of us, and maintain our culture.” Joseph Jay

“The greatest risk investor’s face is not meeting their goals.  We remain singularly focused on helping our clients manage this risk.” Patrick Campbell

“Everything from our business model to internal policies is structured in a way to meet our central focus of maximizing the probabilities our clients meet their goals and improve their financial outcomes.” Patrick Campbell
